Free Storytelling Workshops
Stories are an important part of how we make sense of our own lives and the experiences of our community. These free workshops offer a safe space to create and share short stories and poems that reflect our lives. Our expert storyteller, Alan Barrett, will be on hand to support and guide a fun and engaging creative process. He will work together with individuals to help capture their creativity, whether by recording their spoken words or scribing on their behalf as they share their stories. A selection of the stories will be published in a book and all contributors will receive a copy for free!
We are keen to ensure that these workshops are accessible for all older adults including those with dementia, other long term health conditions and their carers. Please let us know if you have any special access needs.
This project is being run in partnership with the Beth Johnson Foundation. The workshops will offer an LGBT+ friendly space but are open to everyone.
