Art by Angie Boote

Art created by OLGBT member Angie Boote who sadly passed away in October 2022.

Angie was a stalwart member of our group for many years and undertook the responsibilities of being a charity trustee with willing enthusiasm. She was always the first to volunteer to help with anything that needed doing and she fulfilled the role of Treasurer for several years.

Angie was an active member of Ages & Stages Theatre Company at the New Vic and Moving Stories Dance which is part of FRONTLINE dance. Her other great passion was cricket; she was a highly respected umpire refereeing both men’s and women’s games.

Angie had a strong artistic streak and produced many drawings and paintings in a wide variety of media some of which are included in the gallery below. Her greatest claim to artistic fame was having some of her paintings exhibited at the Tate Gallery. No doubt she was equally proud of her ceramics and other creations made as part of our group’s creative arts projects.

She is greatly missed by all at OLGBT.
