Our Current Projects
Clay Stories is an 8 week programme exploring story telling and narrative using clay. We will look at how artists through the ages from ancient Greeks to contemporary artists have used the medium of clay to tell stories. We will explore themes like, transformation, healing, turning points and joyful beautiful things.
Rainbow Threads is a creative project in which members and supporters of the North Midlands LGBT+ Older Peoples Group are working with local textile artist and designer Jane Titley to create fabulous hanging pennants to use as bunting in celebration of our fifteenth year anniversary at Pride in June 2025.
The North Midlands LGBT Older Peoples Group is a partner of the Community Health Champions initiative co-ordinated by VAST. In 2025 we received grant funding to help tackle local health inequalities.

Reclaim Project – 2022
When lockdown ended we were able to return to an in person activity. Reclaim explored the transformational process of reconstituting old clay to make something new. We were heavily influenced by the emerging conflict in Ukraine and made sunflowers as a symbol of hope. Yellow and blue are the colours of Ukraine and sunflowers are part of the nation’s national identity.
