Sighted guide training teaches you how to guide a person with sight loss, with confidence, skill and empathy.

Just like basic first aid, this is a useful life skill that everyone can learn. It will give you the confidence to know how to act when you meet someone who is blind or partially sighted, and the guiding techniques to help them if they need it.

This free one hour training session offered by the Guide Dogs charity will give you the basic skills you need to be a sighted guide. There are plenty of dates and times to choose from and the course is run online.
