I supported Nigel as a volunteer Buddy until his death from AIDS in 1992. This pennant features a lily which was Nigel’s favourite flower. I have also used the same daisy stencil that I used when I made a panel for the UK National AIDS Memorial Quilt after Nigel died. My experience supporting Nigel enabled me to train volunteer Buddies in Stoke when I led the work to set up Staffordshire Buddies in 1993. Supporting Nigel changed the course of my life.
