Help Shape Dementia Support
Help Shape Future Dementia Support for LGBTQIA+ Communities
The University of Nottingham’s Lived Experience Narratives in Dementia (LEND) Programme, funded by the NIHR, is looking for LGBTQIA+ people affected by dementia to help shape future support and research.
They would particularly like to hear from LGBTQIA+ people living with dementia, current or former carers, partners, friends and family members, trans and gender-diverse people, and older LGBTQIA+ people with an interest in dementia research.
There are opportunities to join the programme’s Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP), take part in focus groups and interviews, and contribute to future studies exploring how personal stories and lived experience can better support people affected by dementia.
The aim is to ensure that future dementia information and resources better reflect the diversity of LGBTQIA+ lives, identities, relationships and experiences.
