Become a Member
As a member you will receive regular updates and invitations to take part in our meetings and activities. Some of our events and projects are only open to members and prospective members so if you want to get involved please join us! Membership is free.
Membership of the North Midlands LGBT Older Peoples Group is open to all gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender adults and others who share our aims.
To become a member all you need to do is Join our mailing list as a prospective member and then come along to some of our meetings and activities either online or in person. Once you are happy that our group is right for you just fill in a short form to register your application for membership.
We do not make assumptions about the reasons that people identify with our community and we do not ask you state your sexual orientation or gender when you join our group.
Your application will be approved by the board of Trustees at their next monthly meeting as long as you meet the requirements for membership.
As a member we ask you to:
- Commit to Our Aims
- Follow our Code of Conduct
- Help us run our group safely and lawfully through abiding by our Constitution, Policies and Procedures
- Subscribe to our Members Mailing List (or have an alternative means by which we can contact you)
Our group is run by and for its members. Some members choose to get involved in helping to organise and run things, which can be fun and rewarding. To find out more about what we do, browse our website or get in touch
