LGBT+ Lives Photography & Heritage Project

A new heritage and photography project in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire that explores, shares and celebrates the identities and histories of LGBT+ lives.

Arts organisation GRAIN Projects are working in collaboration with North Midlands LGBT+ Older Peoples Group to deliver a series of free workshops for people to attend to share their stories, pictures and memories.

Please bring along your family albums, photographs and memorabilia that illustrate your life story.

Dates for upcoming workshops in 2025:

  • Tue 12th Aug, 9pm-11pm at GOSSIP (5 Hope Street, ST1 5BT)
  • Wed 10th Sep; 6pm-8pm at Project 93 (The Dudson Centre, ST1 5DD)
  • Tue 16th Sep; 2pm-4pm at Spode Museum, ST4 1QD
  • Thu 2nd Oct; 2pm-4pm at Spode Museum, ST4 1QD
  • Wed 22nd Oct; 2pm-4pm at Spode Museum, ST4 1QD
  • Sat 25th Oct; 1.30pm-4pm at Project 93 (The Dudson Centre, ST1 5DD)
  • Wed 29th Oct; 2pm-4pm at Spode Museum, ST4 1QD
  • Thu 6th Nov; 2pm-4pm at Spode Museum, ST4 1QD
  • Wed 26th Nov; 2pm-4pm at Spode Museum, ST4 1QD
  • Wed 3rd Dec; 2pm-4pm at Spode Museum, ST4 1QD

More workshops will be planned for January and February 2026 and later in the year we will be launching an exhibition and publication.
