2016 – Trans Staffordshire

Soon after the launch of the LGBT Network in 2005, Sanctuary Stoke & Staffordshire was set up by The LGBT Network in partnership with Gender Matters & Staffordshire Police to support people who are Transgender in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire.

Kirsty First started using this group for support in 2009 following which she volunteered at LGBT Staffordshire where she was one of the last trustees before it closed in 2013. Kirsty was handed the reins to the Trans Support group in Stoke-on-Trent in 2012 and with the help and support of the group it has since grown to cover Stafford & Lichfield.

In 2016 the decision was made to rename the group as Trans-Staffordshire.

Trans-Staffordshire is a grassroots organization that brings the Trans community of Staffordshire and Stoke together providing safe and confidential support. For more information visit the Trans Staffordshire Website
